Newgrounds Versus - Final Comments
Jerm's animation had immense potential, since the cinematography and lighting made for a great immersive environment, but it ended too short. There wasn't really much of a story to begin with. I do like the red lights on the house alarm though! Clever!
In the end I go with Gel's animation. The animation itself is silky and timed beautifully. I was a little upset because I wanted our gingerbread-esque hero to become the great monster to defeat... I believe his name is Sartre? It seemed kind of an easy cop-out ending to just have him freeze. I would've liked a more meaningul ending. But it does keep my attention, there's a great sense of conflict, there are moments of action, drama and humor that combine to make an excellent viewing experience. Go Gel!
